ABOUT US
MISSION STATEMENT The mission of Painted Prairie is to make real a great artist who contributed a wealth of historic treasure to the western arena. Vern Parker, a champion in his field is known throughout the world as a western artist and woodcarver, depicting the world of prairie life with feeling and depth. It is the mission of Painted Prairie to present to this world of admirers facets and elements of his life, his family and career. It is an effort to revive his memory and present him on a level of the importance and esteem a craftsman of his caliber merits.
THE PRODUCT
The product consists of Vern Parker postcards by Petley Color Card and Vern Parker Enterprises Inc. Studios, Painted Prairie Notecards and Greeting Cards, and Painted Prairie Graphics CD and Screensaver by Joanna Hagman.

PAINTED PRAIRIE Joanna Parker Hagman is the niece of Vernon Parker. He has been of particular interest to her throughout her life, and she now counts it a privilege to be able to devote a website to his memory and achievements. Joanna, now retired, taught thirty-two years in elementary, middle schools, special education, as well as teaching abroad. She has a BA in Bible from Vanguard University, Costa Mesa, CA, a lifetime elementary teaching credential from the University of La Verne, La Verne, CA, a credential in Special Education from California State University at Fullerton, CA, and a certificate to teach Spanish. She presently lives in Santa Maria, California, with her husband, Clarence, and Emma, their golden retriever. We are eager to communicate or correspond with any interested visitor.
